HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – A May 2018 trial is set for the second of 3 people charged with the murder of Holly Bobo.

Dylan Adams, appeared in a Savannah courtroom Tuesday. Two months ago, his brother Zach Adams was convicted of killing the 20-year-old nursing student from Decatur county.
Tuesday’s court hearing didn’t last long. The judge told everyone involved he is ready for the Dylan Adams’ case to move forward.
“I’m ready to take this case to its conclusion,” said Judge C. Creed McGinley. “I’ve moved this case along as quickly as I could, given the large amount of discovery.”
Judge McGinley set a hearing for mid-December and a May trial date. The judge announced the jury will be sequestered and brought in from Chattanooga because he feels it will be hard to find an impartial jury in Hardin county.
“I cannot get another jury in Hardin County. I think all parties are probably in agreement on that,” said Judge McGinley.
McGinley also announced the state is no longer seeking the death penalty or life without parole against Dylan Adams. If convicted of murder, a life sentence could put him behind bars for more than 50 years.
Dylan Adams’ older brother Zach Adams was sentenced to life in prison without parole plus 50 years after a jury found him guilty of murdering Bobo in September. A third defendant Jason Autry is also facing charges.

Dylan Adams, didn’t testify in that case, but Autry did as the prosecutions key witness. Autry’s case won’t be heard until the conclusion of Dylan Adams’ trial.
Tuesday, the Bobo family left the courthouse without talking to reporters. The family’s pastor says they are doing as best as can be expected.
“It’s always difficult on the victim’s families when you come up on the holidays,” says Don Franks. “We’re here for the long haul, whatever it takes, however long it takes, we believe it’s heading in the right direction… We’re just here for justice for Holly.”
