Johnthony Walker, the man convicted in the Woodmore Elementary 2016 school bus crash, has been arrested on an aggravated rape charge in Nashville, according to multiple news reports.
News outlets cited an arrest report that says 25-year-old Walker admitted to having sex with a 14-year-old on five occasions.
Walker was escorted by police to Davidson County Jail on Thursday night and was being held on a $350,000 bond, according to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office website.
He is expected to appear in court Monday to face the felony charge.
In April, he was sentenced to four years in prison for his role in the deadly crash that happened on Nov. 21, 2016, on Talley Road in Brainerd. He has been out on bond while appealing that sentence.
Walker was driving 37 children from Woodmore Elementary School on a narrow, winding road when he lost control of the bus. Prosecutors said he was driving too fast and talking on his phone. Defense attorneys said he swerved to avoid another vehicle.

I have to ask:
If he was convicted and sentenced to four years in prison in April, how was he walking the streets to commit another serious crime in June??
