Earlier this month, a couple’s vacation time ended in a tragic loss.
Tom Pardhy and his girlfriend Naomi Raksha traveled to the city of Bangkok, only to wind up with an unexpected few days. After the two supposedly ingested a spiked beverage, Pardhy ended up dead and Raksha in the hospital.
A member of the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office has spoken out, affirming that they are doing everything they can to support the family and are working with local authorities to determine a cause of death.
Raksha’s GoFundMe page, set up by her brother, has stated that she fell ill and was intubated in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Bangkok, and Pardhy was sadly found unresponsive just 24 hours later.
Raksha has yet to return to the United Kingdom, and is still receiving intensive treatment in Tailand. Following the immediate scare, she revealed that slipped into a coma several times. She faces a long road of recovery.
In the days following the tragic death of her loved one, Raksha has expressed a heart full of remorse, guilt, grief, and love towards Pardhy, however she is eternally grateful to have made it out alive.
Pardhy’s family has remained silent, keeping information about the incident to themselves as they get through this difficult time together. Nonetheless, speculation about the couple drinking a spiked beverage is at the root of the conversation. Raksha’s mother took down a social media post in which she claimed her daughter and her boyfriend were “given spiked drinks.”
As the investigation continues, the details behind Pardhy’s last days and Raksha’s near-death experience will emerge, and the families will have a better idea of how to move forward. Once the picture becomes clear, the families can decide to take legal action and receive a monetary reward for a horrific loss that never be undone.
