I am hoping the jury comes back today with a guilty verdict. I think if Diane had lasted a couple of hours she would have had more time to think about him shooting her and realized he was supposed to be a gun safety expert and had no excuse for aiming the gun at her back. I feel in my bones he is guilty. Just listen to the financial mess he was in. I would love to know what others think.
I was honestly torn in the beginning when she said he didn’t do it on purpose. But it always stayed with me that she didn’t want to see him either. She had no problem handing him the gun. But she never knew of all his financial trouble either. Who falls asleep with a gun in their hand? Especially when you’re “worried” about a “bad” neighborhood? The more the trial went on the more I think he’s guilty.
At first I was pulling for the tragic accident; but the more I watched the trial, listening to each witness,, I’m convinced this whole thing was a set-up, by Tex to have her friend drive their suv, in which she said she had never driven their car before. And I’m thinking he used his sleep disorder to make it look like an accident. I hope they find him guilty and throw the book at him.
Dani Jo lied about never driving the SUV. Just as she lied several times during the trial… and that’s a FACT.
I never thought he was guilty. It’s illogical. Why would he kill her in front of a witness? Why he asked for the gun?? I don’t know. But to kill her and not kill their friend makes no sense unless………….the female friend was in on the murder! Then all of this makes sense! I believe it’s a travesty of justice.
But the jury found him guilty of felony murder……… In my opinion, manslaughter is more fitting, BUT I know nothing about the law!
Another thing I found strange. Why were they celebrating after the verdict? A woman is dead and a man may go to jail for the rest of his life for an act of misjudgment.
I still cant decide. If he was laying down and the gun passed back to Tex, its possible that they both fumbled. If sitting up then i would say he is guilty. I think the friend was in on it. Do we know anything about how the driver was driving at the moment the gun went off? Was she scared, rattled ?
